The prime objective of this research was to investigate whether the Montessori method of learning helped kindergarten pupils improve their mathematical proficiency, critical thinking and problem-solving skills, besides training them to be responsible learners. Quantitative, qualitative, and observational methods were employed in the : Qais Faryadi. As mentioned in the introduction, the value of this 4-stage model of mathematical learning is that it can be used as a guide to implementing reform methods and curriculum. For example, we can use this model to describe and explore the role of the teacher in a reformed mathematics course. To begin with, synthesis is a creative act, and thus, not.

Various studies have reported that there are differences between reading from print and from digital platforms. Evans et al. () suggest that reading from a digital platform is characterized by more time spent on browsing and scanning, keyword spotting, one-time reading, non-linear reading, and reading more selectively, and less time spent on in-depth reading and concentrated by: 6.   Earlier studies about effect of using picture books on mathematics achievement. Although most studies about reading children picture books focus on the effect on early language and literacy development (see, e.g. Blok, ; Collins, ; Hindman, Connor, Jewkes, & Morrison, ; Mol, Bus, & de Jong, ; Mol, Bus, de Jong, & Smeets, ), several studies have also been carried out that Cited by:

The purpose of this study was to measure the impact of interactive technology in the form of mathematical applications (apps) delivered using iPads on kindergarten children’s learning of number sense in a play-based learning environment. Secondly, factors influencing the use of interactive technology in a play-based environment were by: 4. During the research, one experimental group was treated by problem based learning, while the second experimental group was treated by direct instruction. Book January lated to the application of experimental research methods in.

educational technology. The purpose is to provide readers with what makes an experimental study. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of inquiry-based learning method on students’ academic achievement in sciences lesson.

A total of 40 fifth grade students from two different classes were involved in the study. They were selected through purposive sampling method. The group which was assigned as experimental. Effects of Game-Based Learning on Students’ Mathematics Achievement: A Meta-Analysis Abstract This report presents findings from a meta-analysis of experimental and quasi-experimental studies investigating effects of instructional games on mathematics achievement of PreK—12th grade students compared to traditional classroom Size: KB.

Mathematics learning can be broadly defined as the acquisition of new knowledge, skills, and affects that are related to quantity, space, and structure.

The ability to learn mathematics is possessed by humans and to some extent also by some animals and machines. ternative hypothesis was: the use of the interactive multimedia book in mathematics learning improves student’s performance.

The learning object was developed from the free web tool Edilim and 44 students aged between 11 and 17 participated in the study. The first experiment had 20 hours of study. Abstract. This research tends to make the experimental study on the mathematics teaching model of “situated creation and problem-based instruction” (SCPBI), namely, the teaching process of “creating situations—posing problems—solving problems—applying mathematics”.Cited by: 9.

Two experiments were developed to verify how the use of interactive multimedia books improves students’ school performance in 7th grade math learning. The aim of the study was to compare the performance of students using the Multimedia Interactive Book with non-students in 7th grade mathematics at a primary school in Mozambique, and was guided in two : Guedes António Caetano, Milton Zaro.

For each approach, we provide background information and describe a relevant research study taking that approach to illustrate its potential for expanding the efficacy of intervention for students with mathematics learning difficulties.

The results of the study showed that there is a significant difference in the mean scores of the post-test between the control group and experimental group in favor of experimental group.

The results also indicated that students in the experimental group developed positive attitude towards using WiziQ virtual classroom in their learning. Described here is a non-experimental study of a sample of 50 teachers pursuing a Master’s degree in Secondary School Math Education in Spain.

This is a preliminary univariate descriptive study of the relationship between TDC and the quality of videos prepared. This large-scale quasi-experimental study examined impacts of a mathematics-infused science curriculum on students’ science attitudes and achievement (N =).Author: Zahid Kisa.
